For students who want to build the instrument, not just run it.
We look for people willing to own a hypothesis and the hardware that tests it. Useful backgrounds include electrical and biomedical engineering, microfabrication, analytical chemistry, and data analysis, though willingness to work across those lines matters more than any one of them.
Prospective graduate students: apply to the LSU Biological and Agricultural Engineering graduate program and email Dr. Maji directly. Say which of the three research directions interests you and why.
Undergraduates at LSU: projects require a consistent weekly commitment and are usually structured across more than one semester. Email with your year, coursework, and available time.
Funded graduate positions are not open at the moment. Inquiries about future openings are welcome, and prospective students at both levels are encouraged to write. Please include a CV.
